About Us

The Doug Sanders Foundation Incorporated (DSF) seeks to inform, enlighten, and empower by providing information and training to parents, students, educators, and other professionals that work with youth in America.

DSF functions as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that aims to increase awareness of educational issues such as food insecurity and emphasizes improving the high school graduation rate of historically marginalized youth and helping transition them to colleges and universities throughout the United States.

Our organization also provides educational consulting, leadership training, curriculum development, parenting classes, and strategic planning to public, private, and charter school systems.  In addition, DSF functions as a  link to other organizations with similar goals.  We are committed to improving the educational outcomes of all youth.  This is accomplished by conducting research-based professional development seminars, workshops, presentations, and training to improve young people's educational outcomes and quality of life.

Most importantly, our founder is an educator whose career spans some three decades in public education.  In fact, he has worked as a high school principal, assistant principal, and classroom teacher.  Through his experiences working in large urban school districts, the desire to help all students navigate through and graduate from high school was realized.

Furthermore, it is the Doug Sanders Foundation's purpose to educate all students at high levels, prepare them to compete in a global economy, and provide them with opportunities to reach their full potential.
